Professional Bio
David Marcontell has nearly 40 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, airline operations, and technical consulting. He has led fleet introductions, operational transformations, and certification programs for airlines, MROs, and OEMs around the world, driving more than $2 billion in client savings.
David has served as managing partner and global head of Oliver Wyman CAVOK, president of TeamSAI, and founding COO of two regional airlines. Earlier in his career, he held engineering and management roles with the U.S. Air Force, Delta Air Lines, Boeing, and ABX Air.
A licensed pilot, A&P mechanic, and LEAN Master Black Belt, David holds degrees in aerospace and engineering from the University of Virginia and Mercer University. He received Airlines for America’s Nuts and Bolts Award for his contributions to aircraft maintenance and engineering.
