About the Council
The Aerospace Maintenance Council (“AMC” or “the Council”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing and celebrating aviation maintenance professionals and raising awareness of the knowledge and skill required to keep aircraft safe, airworthy, and reliable worldwide.
Through its flagship Aerospace Maintenance Council Competition Series (“The Competition”), AMC brings together current and aspiring maintenance professionals to demonstrate their technical abilities, professionalism, and teamwork in timed, hands-on events based on real-world maintenance tasks.
The Competition Series is hosted in conjunction with premier aerospace industry events around the world, including Aviation Week Network’s MRO Americas and MRO Asia-Pacific and Vertical Aviation International’s VERTICON. Each Competition reflects the aircraft, technologies, and workforce represented by its host event while advancing AMC’s shared commitment to technical excellence and aviation safety.
The Competition gives participants an opportunity to showcase their abilities and measure their performance against peers from around the world. Depending on the venue and participation, competition categories may include:
-
Commercial Aviation
-
General Aviation
-
Military
-
MRO/OEM
-
Education & Training
-
Space
The Competition is made possible through the generous support of the aerospace community. Sponsors and event hosts provide hands-on competitive events, equipment, prizes, and financial and in-kind support.
