Description:

Competitors will diagnose a wiring issue within the in-flight entertainment system monitor harness by gaining access to the seatback monitor, applying standard troubleshooting practices, and restoring proper system operation.

AMM and WDM references for harness, monitor, and seat operation (provided on site)

Tools, Equipment, and Materials Provided:

  • Fluke Meter
  • Pinning Tool

 

Snap-on provided tooling (qty one in each of two pallets unless otherwise indicated):

Procedures:

In accordance with the repair data:

    1. Determine Monitor Issue
    2. Gain Access to Monitor
    3. Find harness connectors
    4. Use Fluke meter to determine issue
    5. Re-pin harness connection
    6. Re-connect clam shell, attach to harness and connect monitor
    7. Apply power for confirmation of correct pinning.

 

Once power is restored to seats and the harness has been pinned correctly, the Panasonic logo will flash across the screen, signifying completion of the task.
