Description:

This event will assess each participant’s skill and efficiency in completing a series of safety-wire patterns and associated installation tasks.

Tools, Equipment, and Materials Provided:

Snap-on provided tooling (qty one in each of two pallets unless otherwise indicated):

• Safety wire pliers (WTG8A)
• Flat head screwdriver (SGD2BO)
• 0.032 safety wire (WT105-3216)
• Diagonal cutters (808CF)
• Needle nose pliers (96ACF)
• Ratcheting screwdriver (SSDMR4BR)
• #2 PHILLIPS® 1/4" Hex Shank Bit SDM222ZB (qty 3)

Procedures:

Competitor will remove panel(s) and safety the required zones in accordance with the task card within the fifteen-minute time limit. After the required task card is completed, the competitor must tell the judge “Stop time”.
