Description:

Competitors will complete a simulated FAA General Knowledge examination designed to assess their understanding of the General knowledge requirements outlined in the FAA Mechanic Airman Certification Standards.

Tools, Equipment, and Materials Provided:

Tablet

Snap-on provided tooling (qty one in each of two pallets unless otherwise indicated): None

Procedures:

• Each competitor will be provided a tablet to facilitate testing.
• Competitors will be allotted 15 minutes to complete a 20-question general knowledge examination.
• The examination will consist of medium-difficulty questions and will not require the use of calculators, scratch paper, or reference materials.
• The competitor’s final score will be the time required to complete the exam plus applicable penalty time for incorrect or unanswered questions. Penalty time will be assessed as follows:
• 1–2 questions missed: +15 seconds per question
• 3-5 questions missed: +30 seconds per question
• 5-10 questions missed: +60 seconds per question
• 11-20 questions missed: +90 seconds per question
• A bonus of 60 seconds will be provided for competitors answering 100% of the questions correctly.
